FAMILY AND FRIENDS MOUNTS PRESSURE ON RITA DOMINIC TO MARRY

Popular screen goddess, Rita Nwaturiocha Dominic, apart from having an alluring appeal that makes one feel welcome, her smooth, soft voice is sensuous, especially when she wears one of her red trade mark lipsticks, which she has traded for a more matured look for now.

Without mincing words, Rita is the fans' delight anyday, anytime.

Rita's stage presence in movies largely draws from the emotions and passion with which she enraptures her audience, as she successfully interprets her roles to the last detail. Often as sweet as candy, she's got the looks such that one could at once feel she was born for the screens.

In the case at hand, this particular actress seems to be finding right men for marriage elusive. She was at a time said to be dating Nollywood bad boy,Jim Iyke, she was said to be very serious with him,but their love story was put on hold when Jim was not forthcoming with marriage proposal.

Although Rita denies her supposed relationship with Jim then by saying I'm not denying the fact that Jim and I are good friends. If you ask him if he could add somebody else to his family, he would add me to his family, likewise me. To me you can have a best friend that is a guy and there's nothing happening between you.I's just a pity that here when they see you guys talking or playing, they say you guys are going out.she said

Apart from Jim Iyke, she has been romantically linked with several other guys that yielded no fruit.

In a nutshell, the talented thespian has not been lucky with men.

The latest gist swirling around the actress is that she is right now under unprecedented pressure by friends and family to marry and settle down.

The family was concerned that the concept of success should be all encompassing and not limited to money and stardom which are temporal.

On the side of well meaning friends, the ground for pressure is that as a woman a little bit above forty that her biological clock is ticking.

Let's hope that the wedding bells will soon be ringing

HAS MADONNA GIVEN UP ACTING FOR GOOD?

'W.E.' director tells MTV News she prefers directing because 'If I'm the actor, I'm just ... I'm a pawn.'

Madonna has given the whole thespian thing a try several times over. So, the idea of hitting the big screen again in front of the camera doesn't really appeal much to the "W.E." writer and director.

"No [I don't want to act], but I do [act] every day of my life," she told MTV News, before waxing a bit more philosophical about her future ambitions for a career on the big screen. "I like directing better," she further explained. "If I write it and direct it, then it's my voice. If I'm the actor, I'm just ... I'm a pawn."

As Madonna embarks on yet another chapter in her always-evolving career, she explains that she hopes that people will be able to love her for every project she's attached herself to in her decades-spanning career. "I'd rather not divide things up into categories, but I prefer the idea that people would say that I contributed to the culture, the zeitgeist from a female perspective as a musician, as a songwriter, as a filmmaker, in my political point of views of the issues that I've stood by and fought for," she said. "I hope that I consider all of these things to be a part of my body of work and I'd rather not go, 'Oh, she'll be remembered as a great filmmaker, a great songwriter.' "

"W.E." opens Friday and follows two parallel love stories. It focuses on the vintage, tabloid romance between American divorcée Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII in the 1930s and the modern-day woman, Wally (played by Abbie Cornish), who becomes obsessed with their headline-making affair.

This Friday she also releases her first MDNA single, "Give Me All Your Luvin'," as well as its video. She's set to take the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A, who also appear on the track.

COLOMBIAN WOMAN STUNS WORLD WITH SALMA HAYEK CLAIM

A Colombian woman has revealed herself to be the aunt of Mexican actress Salma Hayek, in an interview with Univision TV show El Gordo y La Flaca.

The news, which is likely to dominate international media outlets for the forseeable future, broke when Alicia Hayek de Borj announced, "I saw her and said, 'This is a niece of mine, how do I go to Mexico to see her?'"

The announcement initially took Univision producers by surprise because, given the striking physical resemblance, they thought it was actually the actress being interviewed.

However de Borj wasted no time setting the record straight, divulging that her father had emigrated to Colombia in the 1920s and spawned 20 children by different women. Of those children, one son emigrated to Mexico and went on to be Salma Hayek's grandfather.

"It is a family which grew up with one poor line and one of silver," said the impoverished de Borj.

The show purportedly corroborated the blood line by 'comparing names on official documents,' amid de Borj's insistence that she does not want money - just a holiday to Mexico perhaps.

In a similar turn of events, a tiny baby in Argentina has been revealed as Barack Obama's grandfather.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ON DECK FOR CLINT EASTWOOD BASEBALL FLICK

Who needs a music career when you have a bustling movie career? Right, Justin Timberlake?

The singer has added another role to his growing docket of movies. He's next set to star alongside screen legend Clint Eastwood in "Trouble With the Curve." The guys will be joined by Amy Adams in the film, which revolves around an aging baseball scout (played by Eastwood) who goes on a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter (Adams) to check out a potential recruit.

Timberlake is set to play Eastwood's friend Johnny Flanagan, a former baseball player himself who is now a Yankees talent scout. Flanagan may also turn out to be Adams' potential love interest.

Eastwood will not be directing this project. That honor will go to his longtime producing partner, Robert Lorenz, making this his directorial debut, Variety reports.

Before Timberlake hits the set for this project, he's first slated to star in the Coen brothers' next film, "Inside Llewyn Davis." MTV News recently caught up with co-star Oscar Isaac, who shared his excitement about the project, which is set during the folk movement in New York City during the 1960's.

Though Timberlake won't be singing alongside Eastwood, he will get the chance to croon in the Coen brothers flick. The music is being written and produced by the likes of the Punch Brothers, T-Bone Burnett and Marcus Mumford. "It's folk from the '60s — old songs passed down for many generations — but new takes on them," Isaac said.

"Obviously we have the hindsight of now and so we kind of revisit these old songs. They're hopeful and beautiful and in contrast [to] the life of a folk singer, which is not very beautiful at all. It's very drab and dire. It's a screwball comedy."

LADY GAGA HUNT FOR ITALIAN SPERM DONOR

FAMILY AND FOOTBALL: DROGBA'S MUM COOKS FOR IVORY COAST FANS AT NATIONS CUP

As Ivory Coast’s footballer Didier Drogba gets busy on the pitch at the 2012 African Nations Cup, his mother Clotilde Drogba has also been getting busy cooking for the Ivorian fans.

Clotilde Drogba has a make shift kitchen at a dusty stadium on the outskirts of the Equatorial Guinea capital of Malabo, the Associated Press reports.

Some of her ‘delicacies’ include chicken and fish with rice, plantains and spicy sauces as fans who are up to 60 in number, line up to be served. Drogba however still eats at his hotel with his team mates.

It isn’t Mrs Drogba’s first attempt at her generous gesture as she also prepared food for fans at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

‘Everyone has their thing and what they like to do. This is not about my son, it is about supporting my country’, Mrs Drogba, wearing the orange of Ivory Coast, told AP after preparing lunch on Monday.

Dieder’s mum had watched the Ivory Coast’s opening two victories on a TV screen – in between cutting onions, tomatoes and chicken.

Drogba currently plays for Chelsea FC in London.

DRAKE SAYS HE WON'T RESPOND TO COMMON DISS, HE IS RECORDING NEW MUSIC

After Common said the beef was over, Drizzy says he won't entertain the battle in the future.

Common recently said that he is ready to move on from the beef with Drake, to which Drizzy has finally broken his silence. On the set of the video for “The Motto” with The Weeknd, Nah Right’s Nation spoke with the Young Money rapper who said he wouldn’t record another diss track towards Com and said that he used the beef to promote his latest album, The Dreamer, The Believer.

“No. Because despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a ‘hip hop moment’ or a ‘battle for the sake of musical integrity’…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album,” he said. “More than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.”

Additionally, Drake said that he plans to tour through 2012 and has already begun recording new music.

“I have begun working on new music already and I’ll be recording during the whole college tour with 40. Making better music and building myself as a business is all that’s on my mind. Hopefully some acting as well.”

Do people still fight at this modern age? And why must girls tear each other’s clothes during a fight?

This is shameful.

ANGELINA JOLIE 'SAVED' BY KIDS

Angelina Jolie's children have helped her rediscover a "carefree" life.

The "In The Land Of Blood And Honey" director -- who raises Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, five, and twins Knox and Vivienne, three, with her partner Brad Pitt -- admitted she went through a "self-destructive" phase but her kids saved her.

She said: "I had grown up as a pretty scary teenager who was self destructive and didn't have a good outlook on life. Acting gave me a better place to be but early in my career I didn't appreciate what the world offered me.

"I had a pretty warped perception of the world. I grew up as this very carefree, happy kid then things turned darker for me. Maybe it was because I saw the world wasn't as happy a place as I had hoped it would be for me.

"I'm just glad I was able to return to some of that innocence and beauty I had as a child when I started my own family and my children brought me back some of that spirit."

Angelina also revealed she was surprised by how motherhood changed her from a loner to someone who loves being surrounded by people.

She added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "When you have a big family you just give up your personal life at a certain point.

"You even try to take a bath and everybody comes in so you give up and that's OK. As somebody who likes to be alone, I surprise myself that I'm very happy to be surrounded by everybody in my family. I feel that comfort."

The network reportedly blocks the Hype Williams-directed visuals.
