PERO ADENIYI PREGNANT WITH 2FACE IDIBIA's 6TH CHILD!

Baby number six is on the way for pop icon 2face Idibia.

NET sources say Idibia’s long-time girlfriend and mother of two of his five children Pero Adeniyi is heavily pregnant and according to his publicist Bayo Omisore, she will put to bed in March 2012.

‘Yes it’s true, she is pregnant. A statement has already been released’, Publicist, Bayo Omisore told NET. The statement was not immediately available to us.

Inside sources say Ms Adeniyi is seven months gone already, and she had stayed away from public events, careful not to let the cat out of the bag until she gives birth.

The daughter off POATSON boss Jide Adeniyi, who was married to Tunde Borokini (they have since been divorced), already has two children for Idibia – Rose and Justin. Idibia also has kids from Sunmbo Ajaba (2) and Annie Macauley (1)

‘Children are a gift from God and I’m glad to have this bundle of joy’, 2face was quoted as saying.

If you recall, six months ago, 2face had travelled to the US to attend the BET Awards where he won the award for ‘Best International Act for Africa’ alongside pop singer D’banj. Pero, we learn was also in the US at that time. ‘They see often when he’s in America; he even stays in her crib sometimes‘ an insider told us today.

2face is currently in Nigeria, writing and recording songs for a forthcoming release, his publicist tells NET.

Idibia’s relationship with Ms Adeniyi, rocky at best, is as interesting, as it is fascinating, with those close to them saying it’s a huge surprise they’re still making babies together ‘after all the fights’.

RMD HOSPITALISED AFTER CAR CRASH

One of the most recognizable faces in Nollywood, Richard Mofe Damijo, was reportedly involved in a ghastly motor accident, in the early hours of Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in Warri, Delta State.

The actor, who also doubles as the Delta State commissioner for Culture and Tourism, was however lucky to escape the accident alive as sources claim he was immediately rescued from the SUV, which was badly damaged as a result of the accident, and rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Segun Arinze, in a phone chat with NET confirmed the incident, but refused to disclose further details concerning the situation.

‘I spoke with him while he was on the scene of the accident, and I can tell you he’s doing okay now. We thank God that we did not start this year with bad news of the death of a well-loved colleague’, Arinze told NET.

When pressed for details, the AGN president declined to give further information, pending the release of the official position of the body on the matter. ‘I cannot give you the details now, which are a bit sketchy at the moment, but we will soon issue an official statement concerning the incident’ he said. ‘All I can tell you now is that yes he was involved in an accident but he is doing better at this moment and we have to thank God for that’, Arinze added.

MARADONA SURVIVES KIDNEY OPERATION

Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona is expected to return to his coaching duties at Al-Wasl Football Club after being successfully treated for kidney stones at a Dubai hospital.

An official statement issued by the club says ‘Maradona is well and in good health. He will rest for one day (Tuesday) before supervising the training on Wednesday’, said the statement by Al-Wasl.

The 51-year-old reportedly began feeling pain after the club’s match on Saturday, January 14, 2012, and was later admitted to hospital. However, according to a spokesman of the United Arab Emirates club, the treatment on the soccer legend was successful.

‘Maradona has insisted on watching on video the game between Sharjah and Bani Yas (local clubs) that took place yesterday (Sunday January 15 2012) in preparation for the coming game between Al-Wasl and Sharjah’, scheduled for January 23, said the statement.

The 1986 World Cup-winner signed a contract with Al-Wasl in June 2011. A month later, he was involved in a car accident but survived with minor injuries sustained.

He became head coach of the Argentina national team in November 2008, and held the job for eighteen months, until his contract expired after the 2010 World Cup.
