Heavy D To Be Buried At Historic Church, Nov 18

A private funeral of Late rap veteran Heavy D (real name Dwight Arrington Myers) has been announced to take place at a historic black Baptist church in a northern residential district of New York City on Friday, November, 2011.

The announcement was made by Grace Baptist Church of Mount Vernon, founded in 1888. As reported earlier, the rapper passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at a Los Angeles hospital.  He passed away at the age of 44 years.

Source confirms iPhone 5 existed, includes details

We, as well as many others, were expecting an iPhone 5 instead of the iPhone 4S, and in fact we have a source who held the device in his hand. We also told by a different source why the iPhone 5 was not launched. Now, Business Insider has linked up with a source who didn't just hold the iPhone 5, he spent about two weeks with an iPhone 5 prototype.

It validates our earlier reporting on the iPhone 5 and its existence. We didn't necessarily expect anyone to believe our assertions about the iPhone. BI, however, is a different story. There are, however, differences between our sources and theirs in terms of why the phone was ultimately rejected.

Our information was that developers were working up to the very end, trying to get the iPhone 5 done in time for an October launch. However, problems with the manufacturing of the curved screen on the device were not ironed out by the time of the iPhone 4S launch, so the device was tabled, and will probably be what we see in 2012.

BI's insider says that it was another axing by Steve Jobs. He apparently was not happy with the fact that the device had a 4-inch screen, larger than prior iPhones, calling it "fragmentation." If that was indeed the case, it would have meant we might never have seen an iPhone with a larger screen, except that Jobs has now passed away.

He held sway over Apple product development with an iron fist. With new CEO Tim Cook in place, we might indeed see a larger-screened iPhone, which many feel is necessary as larger screens are all the rage in Android smartphones. BI's source played with a prototype, not a finished product. Our source used a near-production quality model.

Among the key points he made.

    * The new iPhone 5 was supposed to have an aluminum back, similar to the iPad 2.
    * Eventually, Apple wants to use its "liquid metal" technology to make colored iPhones. Apple purchased exclusive rights to the use of liquid metal earlier.
    * The prototype's home button "was not a physical press button. You could touch it and hold it and physically reboot the device." It's unclear what that means, exactly, but it sounds more like a capacitive button than a pure soft button.
    * Engineers said that the iPhone 5 was supposed to have a 10 megapixel rear-facing camera. The iPhone 4S eventually ended up with an 8MP camera.
    * The prototype had Siri, but it was called "Assistant," which was actually a rumored name for Siri.

In addition, some prototype-only "features:"

    * The prototype was much faster than a normal iPhone, but that was due to the fact that Apple had removed the limiter is uses on shipping devices. Its battery life was terrible, because of that.
    * The prototype had a screen with a "messed-up" color profile, but this was actually a good thing, meaning the iPhone 5 was going to have a better screen with improved colors. The reason, he said, was that Apple tends to "ugly up" features it is improving in its prototypes in order to disguise them.

Now if only Apple employees could hang onto their prototypes. Really, we wouldn't be broken up about it. The iPhone 4S did not include LTE, and the iPhone 5 would not have, either. Assuming the information about Jobs objecting to the size of the iPhone 5's screen is true, or even if it were not, and our information is the more correct of the two, we fully expect that Apple will release the iPhone 5 ... not a new one, this one, that was nearly complete, next year.

Unless, as is Apple's trend, it comes up with something even better.

CELEBRITY QUOTE: TUFACE'S BABYMAMA, ANNIE MACAULAY

Innocent is a fantastic father and I must give him kudos for that,he is crazy about all the kids he has. He just strives to be there for everybody and he is not doing badly at all. The relationship that exists between us now is the daddy and mummy relationship to our daughter and that is the truth.

I have no regrets that our relationship is not leading to marriage.Sometimes things come differently, but there are some things you cannot control, that does not mean you should regret it.So,I am cool.

But about marriage,no comment but God knows my husband.I don’t have any regret because I am counting my blessings. My decisions have been favourable.I am a very lucky and fortunate person.

I enjoyed everything though the relationship had its ups and downs and it went sour,it really went sour. I just want a good man,a man who is matured enough, who appreciates the woman that loves him.I want a very good man and extremely matured with a good heart.

I’m not married yet and my woman is not a banker – Nigerian musician King Soul E

Nigerian musician King Soul E is very furious at the moment, The talented singer is irritated by a blogger who wrote that he has married wife nr. 2. According to the blogger, the new wife (Petula Delinda) is an Abuja-based banker. “I have not even spoken to that blogger before in my life and my woman is not a banker,” clearly angry KSE tells Live Online with Delia.

Not done, he stormed: “Did I tell you that I’m married? I only told you I was engaged. If I’m getting married I’ll inform you as I promised. Anyway, I do not want to talk about that issue again. Right now I’m concentrating on my three singles (Baba you too much, Follow Follow, and Tonight), which I’m coming out with this month.”

We hopes that bloggers will abstain from fabricating stories all in the name of getting more readers. We know quite alright that rumors sell, but think of your long-term reputation. Writing that a man who is engaged to someone married another banker could bring problems to the relationship. Let’s think before we write.

Fat Joe Says Hip Hop Is Run By The "Gay Mafia"

Joey Crack also suspects that he's previously collaborated with gay rappers. Fat Joe recently sounded off on homosexuality and Hip Hop, speaking with Vlad TV about his perspective on closeted rappers and the need for gays to come out. During the interview, he said that he’s definitely done songs with gay lyricists and that they shouldn’t be afraid to show who they are.

“I think I’ve done songs with gay rappers. I’m pretty sure of that. I’m pretty sure the football niggas is gay, the basketball niggas is gay - niggas is gay,” he said. “There’s millions of gay people in the world. Girls, too. Once again, I’m not a fan of that shit either. I’m a fan of, ‘Yo, I’m gay, what the fuck?’ 2011, you gotta hide that you’re gay? Be real! Like, ‘I’m gay, what the fuck?’ If you gay, you gay. That’s your preference. Fuck it, if the people don’t like it.”

He also gave his perspective on what he describes as Hip Hop’s “gay mafia,” referring to those who make moves behind the scenes. He says that gay members of the media are gatekeepers and hold a position of power.

“[Hip Hop] is the greatest gay market in the world. The Hip Hop community is most likely owned by gay. I happen to think there’s a gay mafia in Hip Hop. Not rappers - editorial presidents of magazines, the PDs at radio stations, the people who give you awards at award shows. This is the fucking gay mafia, man. They’re in power,” he continued. “So why wouldn’t a guy come out and say, ‘Yo, I’m gay’ and get that type of love? Like Lady Gaga, I don’t know if she’s gay but she’s running with that gay shit for real. And she’s winning. [...] It’s 2011 going on 2012. I think if you’re gay, rep your set.”

Young Jeezy Downplays Beef With Rick Ross

The Snowman says that he isn't dwelling on whatever discrepancy there might be and is instead focusing on his album, "TM103." Young Jeezy and Rick Ross have been firing subliminal shots at one another on records over the past few months, but the Snowman doesn’t think there’s much to it. Speaking with DJ Whoo Kid, Jizzle explained that he doesn’t necessarily engage in beef and that there hasn’t been a conclusion to the spar because it never started.

“I don’t think there’s a conclusion to it, because it was really nothing to me in the beginning. I don’t need propaganda to sell my records, I never have. I always did my music. When it’s album time, people do crazy things,” he said. “I’m a real one. I don’t do beef. If there’s a problem, let’s get into it. Let’s get it done. There ain’t nothing to talk about.”

Jeezy is currently gearing up for the December 20th release of his oft-delayed album Thug Motivaiton 103: Hustlerz Ambition. The LP features guest appearances from Andre 3000, Jay-Z, Jill Scott and more.

50 Cent's Album Delays Explained By DJ Whoo Kid

Whoo Kid says label politics may be to blame for 50's album delays and says the album is "95 percent" finished. Fans waiting for 50 Cent to release his fifth studio album may have to wait some more, even though DJ Whoo Kid says it's nearly finished. Whoo Kid recently spoke with Amaru Don about the album delays and explained that label issues may be preventing it from reaching the hands of fans. He also said he thinks the album is close to being done and that fans will "hear it soon."

"He wants it to come out but he's dealing with label shit too so it's the politics of when to drop. You gotta understand, it's a competition with other people too. Labels are just maneuvering when to drop. I know he did most of it. 95 percent of it is finished. He wants it to come out, and if it was up to him, it would."

He also said he's heard 9 songs off the album, which he referred to as "crazy. "I may assume it's maybe the labels fucking with him but I heard like 9 joints that's crazy. I wish I had it now so I could make some serious money off of it myself. But, you'll hear it soon."

Men didn’t find me attractive when I was younger – Pop Diva Madonna

In a disclosure sure to stun thousands of her drooling male fans, Pop Diva MadonnaMadonna states that during her youth, men did not find her particularly attractive. peaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Madonna, who has had an austere Catholic Italian childhood says that in those days girls were asked to wear their skirts up to their knees, have turtlenecks to cover themselves, refrain from applying any makeup. In other words not do anything to draw attention to one-self. The 53-year-old rebel singer-actor with the wackiest hair-styles discloses that straight men did not find her attractive. “I think they were scared of me because I was different,”

The star singer is currently dating been dating a much younger French dancer Brahim Zaibat (24) for over a year now. Zaibat is just nine years older than Madonna’s eldest daughter Lourdes. Hence it’s no surprise this action of hers has been met with criticism from some quarters. However, she has defended her decision of having a relationship with a toy-boy. She insists that her 24-year-old boyfriend is an excellent role model for her two young sons Rocco and David.

Madonna is even confident that he will be a positive father figure to them. She has gone so far as to even slowly include Zaibat in her outings with her children Lourdes (15), Rocco (11), David (6), and Mercy (5). As an explanation she says “(My sons) need a male role model as well. So I need to keep this in mind: What is this person modeling to my sons, what kind of man is he, what values does he have, (and) what energy is he giving off?” she adds.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE BETWEEN STAR ACTRESS IYABO OJO AND LIZZY ANJORIN

The rift between Star actress Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin is taking a new dimension as we learnt that the situation has degenerated into a cold spiritual war of attrition involving an exchange of fetish powers otherwise known as Juju.

An insider close to Anjorin disclosed to us that the actress has been experiencing some strange occurrences for a while. Our source told us that in fact, the entertainer would have become history if not for a strong spiritual backing from her pastor.

The source further added that Anjorin has been warned to embark on serious prayer and fasting to avert a spiritual attack allegedly from the camp of her “public enemy”. This was after the picture of the embattled actress was allegedly found in the custody of an Abeokuta-based herbalist.

Lizzy was recently hit by a sudden mysterious illness that defied medication but was later rescued by a relative who quickly took her to spiritualists in Abeokuta. We also gathered that another tragedy was recently averted in Abeokuta on the set of Anjorin’s new comic flick, entitled: Miss Tinubu, when production was suddenly halted after the shoot of only one scene.

According to our source, this was because the actress was rushed to an undisclosed hospital after miraculously averting a fatal accident. There were allegations that Iyabo Ojo was responsible for Lizzy's travails.

We shall keep you posted on further findings.

D'BANJ BOYCOTT CHANNEL O MUSIC VIDEOS AWARDS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T GET FIRST CLASS TICKET

Koko master,D’Banj we gathered didn't show up at the just concluded Channel O Music Videos Awards.

According to sources, D’Banj was billed to perform at the event, but on getting to the airport on Thursday, November 10, 2011 to travel to SA, he discovered that the Channel O Awards organisers had gotten him an economy ticket, instead of at least a business class ticket.

We gathered that D’Banj and his crew had no choice but to turn back. But the two parties are saying it was mostly a communication break down that D'Banj had been placed on a wait list for a business class ticket but the flights were fully booked for days.

However, the Channel O crew went to his Lekki home to record an acceptance speech which was aired during the show. D’Banj won Most Gifted Male Video and special recognition.

Was D'Banj right to refuse to fly Economy?

Photo: Star Actor Ayo Badmus badly beaten by political thugs

The actor tells Vanguard exactly what happened to him on that unfortunate day during the Sallah holidays.

It’s true that I was beaten and almost killed by the thugs guarding the Chairman of Oshodi L.G.A. My wife, my brother and myself went to pay a courtesy to my boss, Tunde Kelani on the Salah day. When we got there, I went round to greet people and when I got to where the Oshodi L.G.A Chairman sat, I wanted to shake him when his brother said I ought to have prostrated.I didn’t reply him even when he started insulting me, saying actors are stupid and useless. I made to leave when suddenly, I saw a group of thugs, numbering up to  twenty  pounced on me and started beating me up.

They broke bottles on my head, kicked me and almost killed me if not for my wife, brother and other people who came to my rescue.I’ve done a lot for the Lagos State Government even without being paid. Why should I then be treated in such a manner like a criminal?  What the Chairman of Oshodi Local Government and his brother did was wrong. They are public servants and should be polite. I never met them before in my life. Neither did I involve myself in any kind of politics. That day was the first time, I set my eyes on them. They probably felt intimidated by my presence and the way people around hailed me.

Biography of Steve Jobs, the best selling book in the world

The biography of the cofounder of Apple, Steve Jobs, became the best selling book in the world this week except for Portugal. According to sales reports from several countries, the work, written by American journalist Walter Isaacson is the work of non fiction purchased in America and Europe.

The biography of Jobs is the number one sales in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, USA, and in Germany, France, Italy, Britain and Spain. The only exception is Portugal, where the creative biography of McIntosh computer and the iPhone does not appear even among the four best sellers.

However, third in the Portuguese readers preferred figure "or method of Steve Jobs" Jay Elliot (The Steve Jobs Way), a book about how the so-called "apple genius" changed the way we communicate and of doing business.

Naeto C At War With Concert Promoter

Nigerian rapper Naeto C spent the recent Eid-El-Kabir holidays in Benin locked in a hotel room in an attempt to avoid the wrought of show organizers he had differences with. According to Ehiglad, organizers of the show, they had approached Naeto C last month to perform at a gig called Love Concert 3 in Benin. The show which took place on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the very popular night club Hexagon, was headlined by Terry G and featured other Nigerian acts like Sound Sultan, Gandoki and Bovi.

A friend of the organizer of the show, Edo based entertainment boss Andy Bello tells us Naeto C settled for a performance fee of N500,000. In addition, his flight to and fro Benin was also to be taken care of. Bello says the performance fee was then paid in full. Naeto C and two crew members landed in Benin on the day of the show and even tweeted about it. ‘In Benin with the crew, Gandoki has kept me laughing 4 3hrs, my ribs are sore lol’, @NaetoC tweeted.

‘When the time came to perform, the rapper told us that he wouldn’t step out of his room if he hadn’t be paid the return ticket fees for him and his crew. In addition to that he also said that he would be granting any interviews as that was not part of their initial agreement’, Andy Bello tells NET ‘We pleaded with him and even when comedian Gandoki offered to pay N50,000 to assist, he turned it down’, he added.

We’re told all efforts to get Naeto to the concert proved abortive, the show was forced go on without him. A source who attended the show says Naeto C never showed up at the club. ‘We partied till around 4AM, he never showed up’. The show ended a few minutes past 5AM and the organizers who were furious at this point marched towards the Wesley Hotel situated at No. 2 Aguele Street, Off Aikhionbare Street, G.R.A., Benin City, (a call was made to the official phone number gotten from the hotel’s website and it was confirmed that Naeto indeed lodged there).

‘When we got there and tried gaining access to the rapper’s hotel room, we met it locked. The hotel management confirmed the rapper and his crew were still inside the room and after a while, the organizers requested the hotel manager bring the master key’. The manager of the hotel Mr Wesley brought the master key which was used to open the door. The organizers barged in and confronted Naeto. One of the organizers then slapped Naeto C. The rapper dazed, was said to have calmly replied ‘I’m a simple guy, let’s try to work it out’.

We are told Naeto C was then escorted by soldiers to a nearby ATM where he was asked to withdraw money in a bid to return the performance fee. We hear Gandoki also supported in paying back the money. The organizers have stated that Naeto refunded performance fee. But it didn’t end there as a another source tells us a colonel and few other soldiers later stormed the hotel, arresting the hotel manager the said Mr Wesley, the show organizer. It is believed that Naeto C had placed a call to some in high authority who in return sent the security operatives. How true this is, we can’t really tell as at the time of this report.

Naeto then filed a complaint claiming he lost $6,000 and a BlackBerry Bold 9900. We are told the organizers were subsequently released on bail. But one of the performers at the concert who would rather remain anonymous says the story is not entirely true. ‘Yes Naeto C didn’t perform but I’m not quite sure if he ever got paid N500,000 initially. And his money and phone were truly stolen. I witnessed what happened. They are lucky Naeto isn’t suing them’, our source says.

Speaking with Nigerian Entertainment Today, Naeto C who’s signed to Storm Records, says he has nothing to say about the matter. ‘I can’t disclose information because of the involvement of all other parties’. Sound Sultan also refrained from many any comments. ‘Please you can ask Naeto himself’, the veteran singer said.
