Famous Hip-hop singer, Dapo Oyebanjo otherwise known as D’Banj is in sizzling romance with the daughter of Polo Boss, Jennifer Obayuwana, regaled a reliable source.

D’Banj had in the past been linked in romance with top female celebrities such as MBGN 2006 winner, Abiola Bashorun, Genevieve Nnaji, Soundcity VJ, Yeahcah, Nonhle Thema of Channel O, Rukky Sanda, Sen. Ita Giwa among others.

Those in the know of this new romance told us that, Jennifer, a powerful dresser who is the Executive Director at Polo, is a regular face at D’Banj’s Lekki home. A single mother of one, Jennifer was said to be pampering the Koko Master silly.

According to the source, Jennifer was said to have bought the shoes D’banj wore to the Black Entertainment Award show; a shoe valued at N350, 000.

It would be recalled that Frank and his estranged wife, Katherine, also a TV personality are currently separated over allegations of battery and infidelity against the husband. It now seems Frank has moved on with his life as he was sighted with a lady at about 2am last Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the new Parking Lot of Eko Hotel & Suites, smooching each other in the darkest part of the area.

Those who saw the love scene said Frank threw caution to the wind and began to fondle the lady’s Oranges. Our source revealed the identity of the lady as Sandra Onyenaucheya, said to be the new apple of his eyes.

The lovebirds leaned on Frank’s wine colour Range Rover Sport for the love act. The light skinned lady, who is said to be a single mother, somehow got uncomfortable later and dragged Frank into the Jeep where they both stayed in for few minutes, probably to finish what they started, before they moved out of the Parking Lot into the main building of the Hotel.

Saheed Balogun, Halima Abubakar, Susan Peters, win AFROHOLLYWOOD AWARDS


The winners of the 2011 Afrohollywood Awards announced at a well attended ceremony held at the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Governor’s Office, Osogbo, Osun State, southwest Nigeria with the Governor of the State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, members of the State House of Assembly, the state Commissioner For Culture And Tourism and Mr. Sikiru Adetona Ayedun, among others in attendance.

Saidi Balogun emerged the African Actor Of  The Year (African film category). He defeated Majid Michael (Ghana) and Parsley Chireneyegae of South Africa. Femi Brainard emerges the Best Actor (English Language film) while Susan Peters won the Best Actress (English language film) award.

In other categories, Halima Abubakar won Best Actress (supporting role in English language film), Muyiwa Adegoke, Best Actor (Yoruba language film) ,Doris Simeon, Best Actress (Yoruba Language film) ,Tayo Adeleye, Best Actor (Supporting Role in Yoruba Language Film), Anta Laniyan, Best Director; Bukola Awoyemi, Best New Acting talent and Tolulope Olusola Lamidi (TV Continental) Entertainment Journalist (Broadcast).

Others are Bernard Babatunde Tayo a.k.a Baba Tee, the New Comedy Talent; Sam Loco-Efe, Post Humous category and Chief Yemi Elebuibon, Special Contributions to the development of art and culture among others.

Felaboration Concert: Star Artistes storm Afrika Shrine


SideOne alongside top comedian Femi Fagade aka Omobaba, Kaka, Danny Young, Clever Jay and other top stars will kick start the 2011 Felabration concert today at the New Afrika Shrine, off Agidingbi road, Ikeja.
P.M. NEWS learnt that apart from these stars, at least 100 Nigerian music stars will perform at the week-long concert. Top African star Jovi, Binnieman or Gyptians are being contacted to perform at the show. Other singers that will perform today at the Afrika Shrine include Skally, Ara, Question Mark, Ever Green Music band, Jahbless, Bebe Something, Blackfist and others.

Fela’s first daughter and the convener of Felabration, Yeni Kuti, promised that guests will have a nice time throughout the week. She also promised that the security in and outside the Shrine will be watertight. Yeni said that Fuji King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal aka K-1 the Ultimate and Sule Alao Malaika are likely to perform during the week-long concert.

The yearly concert is in celebration of Afrobeat King, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, who died in 1997.
