Lauryn Hill Sued For Allegedly Keeping Clothes from 2007 European Tour

Ms. Hill reportedly kept threads given to her for her tour and didn't fulfill the terms of her agreement with the company. A fashion consultant who outfitted Lauryn Hill with clothing for her 2007 European tour has filed suit against the singer-songwriter, claiming that she never returned the clothes.
According to TMZ, Via Davia Vintage gave Ms. Hill “an entire wardrobe of high fashion items,” claiming that there was an agreement to pay a fixed weekly fee for a month. But after the timeframe elapsed, Hill kept the clothes for three months and only paid a fraction of what she owed. She also is accused of returning only 30 percent of what was provided.
Last month, a former member of her band from the same tour filed a suit of more than $20,000, claiming that she stiffed him out of thousands of dollars once the trek wrapped up.

50 Cent Releases Book Cover For "Playground," Releasing November 1st

Fif sets his semi-autobiographical anti-bullying novel for a November release. The Wall Street Journal reports 50 Cent will publish his third literary work in 2012 after The Penguin Young Reader Group agreed to publish the rapper/actor’s semi-autobiographical novel, Playground. According to various reports, the book will be targeted towards young adults, and it will incorporate elements from 50 Cent’s turbulent childhood.
In addition to the upcoming Playground, 50 Cent has also published From Pieces To Weight and The 50th Law, an adaptation of The 48 Laws Of Power co-written by Robert Greene. In other, 50 Cent related news; Fif says he plans on dropping a sequel to his 2009 album Before I Self Destruct, which will also be connected to a film.
There will be a BISD II but not before my next album and there is a film connected to it also its crazy watch LMAO. The cover art has been released for 50 Cent's upcoming anti-bullying novel, "Playground," releasing on November 1st (via HHNM). The description for the book has been posted in full on Amazon.com.
"Thirteen-year-old Butterball doesn't have much going for him. He's teased mercilessly about his weight. He hates the Long Island suburb his mom moved them to and wishes he still lived with his dad in the city. And now he's stuck talking to a totally out-of-touch therapist named Liz. Liz tries to uncover what happened that day on the playground - a day that landed one kid in the hospital and Butterball in detention. Butterball refuses to let her in on the truth, and while he evades her questions, he takes readers on a journey through the moments that made him into the playground bully he is today.
This devastating yet ultimately redemptive story is told in voice-driven prose and accented with drawings and photographs, making it a natural successor to The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Loosely inspired by 50 Cent's own adolescence, and written with his fourteen-year-old son in mind, Playground is sure to captivate wide attention - and spark intense discussion."

Selena Gomez Florida We Own the Night

Selena Gomez might be an American star, but thousands in other nations also love her as well. Since she was asked to host an awards show in Canada, she has been a fixture for the awards shows. Now MTV has asked her to do her biggest hosting job yet, the 2011 EMAs. Not only will she host it, she will be very involved in social media, behind the scenes and will work the stage. It is reported that she will have a slew of different outfits as well. Here is what she had to say about the exciting honor.
I’m so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMA – it’s a dream come true! This is such a huge event that always recognizes the biggest stars in music from across the globe, so it’s a real honor to be MC at this year’s show
This is another example of just how Selena is gaining more respect in the world of music. While hosting isn’t exactly the same as being nominated, at least she has a valid excuse to attend there besides to support her boyfriend. I do believe this is a big step up for her career.
What do you think about this honor? I am not sure why she was picked, but I think it is more important that she was picked than why she was. I am sure she will do a good job. However, I am concerned about what people will say about her to bring her down. I don’t think we should steal her thunder for the big night. It will air on November 6th.

R. Kelly's Upcoming Black Panties Will Be 'The New 12 Play

Kellz talks throat surgery, getting nasty again and Trey Songz's dis in new radio interview. R. Kelly  is ready to put the "R" back in R&B. After undergoing throat surgery in July, Kelly stopped by 107.5 WGCI's Tuesday Morning Riot radio show in Chicago for a rare interview in which he dropped the title for his next album, Black Panties, and talked about the shots Trey Songz has fired in his direction.
"It was really scary," Kellz said of his surgery. "At the end of the Love Letter Tour, towards the end, I started feeling it. I thought I had a cold, but, man, I had like a cyst as big as a golf ball on my tonsils. The doctor's though, they cut it out, they took care of me really good." While he is known for super sex anthems like "Your Body's Callin'," "Ignition" and "Half on a Baby," R. Kelly took a gentleman's approach on his 2010 album Love Letter. But don't put him in a box. For his upcoming 11th solo LP, the Pied Piper is going to get nasty once again.
Kellz didn't reveal much more about the new album, but did say that the first single, titled "10 Minutes" would be coming soon. At his peak, Kelly was untouchable when it came to male R&B singers. But after his infamous 2008 child pornography case (in which he was found not guilty) and a few less-than-stellar albums, he wasn't as flawless as he had been in the 1990s and early 2000s. New artists like Chris Brown and Trey Songz emerged as R&B's leading men. Despite working together on Trey's second album (R. Kelly produced "Grub On" on Trey's 2007 Trey Day), the "Say Ahh" singer has been throwing shots at the R on songs and in interviews, criticizing Kelly for hopping on current trends like using Auto-Tune instead of standing as an innovator.
Kellz shrugs it all off. "I was pretty numb. I don't feel those types of things. It's like I'm bulletproof when it comes to beef. I don't deal with beef, I love steak," he said about Trey's shots, before paying his rival a compliment, sort of. "I know Trey Songz is a guy that if he keeps with the hits and he humbles himself a little bit more, he will definitely be one of the runners up."

Lady Gaga named catwalk Queen

Pop star Lady Gaga has seen off competition from Kate Moss and Beyonce to be crowned queen of the celebrity catwalk. The 25-year-old Poker Face hitmaker topped a survey to coincide with London Fashion Week for her bizarre range of stage outfits in a poll conducted by clothing brand Hot Tuna, reported Contactmusic.
Stylish supermodel Kate Moss came second in the poll, and newlywed royal Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, was in third. The top five was rounded out by Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow, but singer-turned-fashionista Victoria Beckham was placed bottom of the list, behind Rihanna and model/actress Kelly Brook.
Prince Harry topped the men's list, with soccer ace David Beckham and Kasabian rocker Serge Pizzorno in second and third respectively.
"Although clothes don't feature much in Lady Gaga's wardrobe, we're not surprised she came out top. And Prince Harry has proved he's fashion royalty over the past few months, although we're not sure his sister-in-law will be too impressed that he ranked above her," a representative of the clothing brand said.
